About Patti
Not your average therapist.
Patti Moynihan has spent decades chasing one big question: how do people change? Her curiosity about psychology and philosophy is insatiable. She reads constantly, trains widely, and brings all of it into the room — with energy, warmth, and a genuine love of the work.
Sessions with Patti feel like good conversations with a coach in your corner. Expect curiosity. Expect laughter. Expect to leave with something useful — a skill, a fresh angle, a next step. She is direct when it helps, gentle when it matters, and always on your side.
Her approach
We work as a team.
There is no script here, and no one-size-fits-all plan. Patti starts where you are — in the present, with whatever you are ready to share. You look back only if it helps you move forward.
You bring the knowledge of your own life. She brings the methods and the questions. Together, you set the direction, test what works, and keep moving.
“I believe every person is unique, so I create an approach specific to you.”

More of the story
How Patti got here.
Patti’s love for this work started long before her degrees. In her early twenties, she grew endlessly curious about how people make meaning and change — in body, mind, and spirit. She has been reading, studying, and practicing ever since.
Part of that curiosity is personal. In college, Patti struggled with binge and purge eating behaviors. The first counselor she asked for help turned her away. It did not feel true to who she was. Through years of therapy and study, she freed herself from those behaviors and found the work she loves most.
That experience shapes how she practices today: no labels, no judgment, real collaboration. Before becoming a therapist, Patti spent years coaching women as they built their own businesses. She has a knack for finding strengths in what people see as weaknesses.
